The BLUE Building® Concept reaches beyond all conventional and often misleading superficial calculations of ultimately fictional energy savings in buildings. The true balance of environmental impact exceeds the computation of the amount of energy consumed to provide habitable conditions: taking not only the comprehensive balance during the entire life cycle - including production and recycling - into consideration but also the dynamic gain and loss generated by users and daily changes of the environment.
These projects promote a unique “Blue” concept. All facilities within the projects, i.e., water, energy, air, climate control and sewage recycling are environmental-friendly, reducing the waste of energy and water without compromising highest living standards.
In the beginning of 2007, the name “BLUE BUILDING®" and "BLUE BUILDING® CONCEPT" were created.
A key to understand the Blue Building® Concept is the recognition of water as the “source“ of all life versus any other media carrying “energy“.
Therefore, a comprehensive concept of recycling interrelated to energy generation and conscientious consumption will prove to be the only true concept to save the environment sustainably.
Why Blue?
Internationally, the need to save energy has led to the introduction of technologies that differ from conventional construction methods in recent years. However, with improved insulation against energy loss comes new dangers. The inappropriate use of materials and inadequate technologies have led to a dramatic increase in problems associated with the built environment. Today, these problems are summarised under the term “sick building syndrome“.

These projects involve the latest standards of science and technologies as well as the legal requirements of environmental and climatic protection, saving of energy, water and other important resources, projected with Know-How, realized with stringent quality controls.
The following essentials are:
- Buildings and houses, foundations, external and internal walls, roofs, windows, doors etc. are manufactured, erected and mounted in accordance to the newest requirements for environmental and climate protection and saving of energy regulated by the German degree EnEV.
- After completion, every building receives an energy pass, as required in Europe, which indicates explicitly the used construction materials and construction elements as well as the energy consumption. For many countries, this would be a new era for the environmental , climatic protection and energy-saving.
- The outside areas, like roads, underground and the urban infrastructure, parks and gardens etc. are built in an energy-saving, recyclable, environmentally and climatically friendly way.
- Waste water is being cleaned and reused as industrial water for irrigation.
- All kinds of waste are, after cleaning in special recycling plants, reusable.
